OWWA Membership - Regional and Overseas Offices

How to apply and to become an Owwa Membership? The OWWA or Overseas Welfare Workers Administration is an affiliated agency of the (DOLE) or Department of Labor & Employment. It is the direct membership welfare institution that handles the concern and benefit of member-overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

Benefits of an OWWA Member
For a US$25.00 membership contribution, an OWWA member is designated to the following benefits:

  • Insurance Care Benefits
  • Health Care Benefits
  • Education and Training
  • Loan Guarantee Fund
  • Social Services
  •  Family Welfare Assistance
  • Workers Assistance and On-site Services

Two ways how to an OWWA member

  • Enrollment upon processing of contract at the POEA
  • By voluntary registration of OFWs at job-sites overseas

OFWs who spontaneously registered and paid the OWWA membership contribution at the (POLO) or Philippine Overseas Labor Office. They are entitled to OWWA benefits and services, that include availing of business loans under the OFW-RP program and more.

The requirements of OFWs when applying an OWWA loan, the member should submit to partner banks in applying for the reintegration loan assistance such as - An OWWA certification that the borrower is a legitimate OWWA member, has completed EDT and has good credit history and personal data.
